Inspired by Bulgarian socialism and the democracy that currently reigns, my collection explores the contrast between the two ideologies and their impact on our community.

The colors in this collection are muted and subdued, with straight silhouettes inspired by the uniform-like look of socialist fashion. However, the bold graphic prints and daring details bring a contemporary edge to the designs, emphasizing the message behind each piece.

The main item of the collection is a deconstructed trench coat that embodies the clash between the past and present. The accessories include long belts and Cuban-inspired elements that add an extra layer of sophistication to the designs.

I used a variety of fabrics, ranging from natural linen to impenetrable smear and finishing with bold, transparent textures, to highlight the contrasting elements of the collection. The overall effect is a thoughtful and provocative blend of history and modernity that challenges the viewer to reflect on their own identity and place in society.
